The Concord Coalition Debt Clock Tour Rolls Through North Carolina

Raleigh, NC – The Concord Coalition, with support from Concord Action, is bringing the national “Cut the Debt” tour to North Carolina. The tour kicked off with stops in Charlotte last week and will continue over the next two weeks with events in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. 

Starting Friday, Sept. 11, the Debt Clock Tour will continue in North Carolina, highlighting the $40 trillion national debt, annual $2 trillion deficits, looming Social Security insolvency, and the immediate impacts these have on the lives of all North Carolinians. 

Concord Coalition and Concord Action will host a series of events, including an appearance before Friday’s North Carolina State football game, a policy panel with leading national debt experts at Duke University’s Sanford School, a day with students at UNC Chapel Hill, and a press conference featuring former U.S. comptroller general David M. Walker.

Friday, Sept. 11 

Debt Clock Truck at Carter-Finley Stadium
